SMG Portfolio Web Troubleshooting


If you are experiencing any issues with accessing the SMG website or see any error messages appear on the screen, try these 4 steps to help resolve any issues.

Contact School Network Administrator

Reach out your school's network admin and request to whitelist the following domain:

Logout/Login

Students encountering problems should try logging out and immediately logging back in to ensure that there is a fresh connection
with our servers.

Stale connections can often lead to problems.

Allow Cookies

Make sure that in the browser for each device being used (laptop, iPad, etc.) that cookies are fully enabled. We use cookies to establish secure sessions with our servers, so it is essential that they be accepted.

Use Old Version

If all else fails, students can still place trades using the old trading platform. Navigate to the Enter Stock Trade page and click the link that reads ‘Switch to Old Version’ in the top right corner of the trade page. This will transfer them to our legacy system— less functionality is available but the trades should go through without issue.
