Rankings

The Rankings show how your team is performing compared with others in the same session. Rankings are based on one of two criteria: (1) Total Equity (cash balance + value of longs) in your portfolio or by (2) comparing your portfolio's percentage growth compared to the value of the S&P 500 Index. Rankings are updated either nightly or on days the markets are open or weekly on Friday night (at the discretion of each SMG Coordinator).

Your team will not be included in the rankings until it has completed at least one buy or short sell transaction.

Region Rankings

Region Rankings is a list of all the teams in your region, either ranked by 7 total equity or by comparison with the 6 S&P 500. Above the list is the 4 last date that portfolios were updated and to the right is the 5 current value S&P 500 Index. The list displays the Rank (based on which criteria is used in your SMG), team ID, % Return Above/Below S&P 500 Growth, Total Equity, School/Organization, and Advisor/Participant.

Coordinator Rankings

In states with one Coordinator, the Coordinator Ranking is a ranking of all teams competing under a single Coordinator.

Some states have more than one Coordinator offering the SMG. In these locations, State Rankings is a ranking of all teams competing within a state with multiple Coordinators.
